According to a survey conducted by Ukraine’s SOCIS public opinion polling agency and published on March 5. If the votes take place at the present time, President Zelensky is expected to receive only 23.7% support in the first round and no more than 32.5% support in the second round.

This result is far below the votes of General Valery Zaluzhny, who was dismissed by Mr. Zelensky as Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces last month, in both the preliminary round of 41% and the confrontation of 67.5%.

If Ukraine’s parliamentary elections were held today, the hypothetical “Zaluzhny bloc” would capture 46.4% of the seats, while Mr. Zelensky’s party would only win 21.1%.

According to RT, public opinion polls at the end of last year also showed that Mr. Zaluzhny is a big challenge to Mr. Zelensky. However, at that time, the incumbent president was predicted to win more than 47% of votes in the first round, and defeat the disgraced general in the second round.

The Ukrainian government has postponed all elections during the conflict with Russia. In the latest survey, more than 65% of Ukrainians also agreed that the country should not hold elections while the conflict continues.
